Welcome to Die Welle(The Wave), a top-down strategy game about ideological dominance. You are an entity of Order, tasked with propagating your doctrine through a chaotic crowd. You must convert the masses before the agent of Chaos takes control.

  • MoveW A S D or Arrow Keys

    • Releases a pulse that attracts neutrals and followers towards you.
  • Conversion BeamAuto-Cast
    • Automatically connects to nearby targets to indoctrinate them.
  • Audio: Toggle ๐ŸŽต (Music) and ๐Ÿ”Š (SFX) in the top right.

๐Ÿ† Objective

Core Goal: Convert the population to your faction (Faction A / Order). You win when the majority of the map follows your ideology.

  • Level 1 (The Beginning): Sandbox mode. Learn to herd the crowd and achieve 100% conversion.
  • Level 2 (Schism): Adversarial mode. An Enemy Leader (Red) appears. You must outpace their conversion rate and defeat their followers in ideological combat.

๐Ÿง  Propagation: The 4 Stages of Faith

NPCs evolve through four distinct stages. The color indicates their allegiance and conviction level.

Believer โšช White ๐Ÿ”ด Deep Red >span class="ng-star-inserted">. Auto-converts others and fights for you.

How to Convert:

  1. Attract: Use Spacebar to pull Grey/Blue NPCs closer to you.
  2. Convert: Stand close to them. Your beam will turn them Gold (Persuaded), then White (Believer).
  3. Expand: Your Believers act as mobile towers, automatically beaming and converting nearby people for you.

โš”๏ธ Combat Mechanics (Level 2)

In Level 2, peaceful conversion is not enough. Your Believers will actively fight the enemy's ideology.

1. The Inquisition (Chase & Headbutt)

  • Trigger: When your Believers (White) spot an enemy Persuaded (Pink) target.
  • Action: They will swarm the target and perform a Headbutt Attack.
  • Effect: This physical indoctrination rapidly converts the enemy, stealing them from the opposing faction and turning them into your followers.
  • Strategy: Defend your own Gold (Persuaded) followers! They are vulnerable to being stolen by the enemy.

2. The Great Debate (Duel)

  • Trigger: When your Believer (White) meets an enemy Believer (Red).
  • Action: They lock in place, and a Clashing Arms visualization appears. They will signal for help (Big Ring).
  • Mechanic:
    • It is a tug-of-war.
    • Nearby allies will join the debate to support their side.
    • Leader Buff: If YOU stand near the debate, you provide a massive power boost (equivalent to 3 Believers).
  • Outcome: The losing side (and all their supporters) is Cleansed—their faith is shattered, and they instantly revert to Normal (Grey).

3. Leader Confrontation

  • You can directly target the Enemy Leader with your beam, but only at very close range.
  • This is high-risk, high-reward.

๐Ÿ’ก Tactical Tips

  1. Crowd Control: Do not spam Spacebar. Wait for a group to form, then pulse once to draw them into a tight cluster for efficient beaming.
  2. Protect the Frontline: If you see your Believers locking arms with the enemy (Debate), rush to help them. Your presence effectively guarantees a win, wiping out a chunk of the enemy army.
  3. Interruption: If the Enemy Leader is converting a target, body-block him or steal the target by beaming it yourself.
  4. Momentum: The more Believers you have, the faster your influence spreads. Focus on getting your first 5 Believers as quickly as possible.
